The PAHS is a non-profit, volunteer based organization dedicated to the welfare of animals in our community.  Our facility provides a healthy, loving environment for stray, neglected, and unwanted animals.  Our goal is to find the best possible home for all adoptable animals in our care.  We also offer educational programs in order to enhance the lives of animals and people in our community.

The City of Prattville and the Autauga County Commission provide approximately 50% of the daily operating expenses for the shelter.  The PAHS is responsible for the remainder of the funding needed to keep the shelter open.  You can help us make this possible through your membership and generous donations.

“Single” memberships are $50.00 annually. This amount pays for the following: cleaning supplies for a week, sixteen 25 pound bags of cat litter, to have one male cat neutered, or medical supplies.

“Family” memberships are $100.00 annually. This amount pays for the following: to have one female dog spayed, 25 dog vaccines, veterinary bills, or needed office supplies.

Lifetime members can also help with a monetary or supply donation, volunteering and/or helping to recruit new members.

As good stewards with the money we receive, we are always looking for ways to reduce costs. One way we have identified to do this is to use email for communication whenever possible. We are able to save on stationary and postage by using electronic means. Please provide your email address and we will keep you informed of humane society activities, fundraisers, needs and volunteer opportunities. We will also send you a copy of each PAHS newsletter.

Previously we offered small incentives to support membership but we can no longer afford to do so. It is imperative that we watch every dime, nickel and penny. In a nut shell, we need your help. We need you to: 1. continue your membership or make a monetary donation, 2. help recruit new members, and 3. provide your email address so we can keep you informed on our activities and needs.
